The lure of this year’s London Fashion Week has been palpable. Whether you were there for the whole week, just caught the one show, or – quite frankly – if you weren’t even there at all, it has been near-impossible to escape the excitement around the week long event.

Hot on the heels of New York Fashion Week, London was swept up in glamour and style from 17 to 22 September, whetting audiences and spectators’ appetites with just what to expect from the world of fashion over the next 12 months. Never one to miss out, MeetTheBoss.tv not only broadcast its exclusive interview with Ozwald Boateng this week, but also managed to make it down to Leicester Square to witness Boateng’s triumphant return to Fashion Week.

Ozwald’s Odeon

Boateng, who this year celebrates 25 years in menswear on London’s iconic Savile Row, closed London Fashion Week on Wednesday night in a star-studded, spectacular held in the Odeon Leicester Square. Boateng also used the opportunity to exclusively preview the documentary film ‘A Man’s Story’, which candidly charts his business and personal life throughout the late nineties and the noughties.

Filmed over the space of 12 years, it provides a unique insight into how the most talked about tailor on Savile Row has become a global luxury menswear brand. In Leicester Square, as night began to fall on Wednesday night, the Odeon cinema – usually reserved for Hollywood’s grandest UK premieres – became a hothouse for glamour and jaw-dropping fashion.

Boateng, renowned for melding traditional tailoring with sharp cuts and a modern use of colour, lit the stage alight with a groundbreaking show featuring over 100 (stunning) models wearing both A/W 2010 and S/S 2011 collections. From our seat, we can safely say the show was incredibly, incredibly well received and left the audience wanting more.

Following the show, the 100 models walked in procession through Leicester Square, across Piccadilly and up Regent Street to Boateng’s Savile Row store. MeetTheBoss.tv’s exclusive interview with Ozwald Boateng is available now for viewing.

Filmed just weeks before his London Fashion Week show, Boateng talks about a range of topics, from the important of defining what you want your business to become; how to make a real difference to the business model; and why creative people are visionary people. You can also watch the full length video here and see Boateng’s contribution to our ‘One Thing I Know About Business’ series as he explains How to Dress for Success.
